"SOME KISS WE WANT"
October 22-24, 2010
There is some kiss we want with our whole lives, the touch of spirit on the body. — Rumi
Patricia L. Bay, Psy.D., Marriage, Family Therapist and Darren Smith, M.A., Marriage, Family Therapist Intern present a weekend workshop opportunity for couples.
Presenting an all new format in the excitement of a new location, Dr. Patricia Bay and co-leader, Darren Smith, M.A., will guide couples into deep awareness about their relationships. We will be exploring how affection affects intimacy which in turn impacts the sexual vibrancy in the relationship. This workshop will go beyond traditional methods of communication to explore the love that is found in deep connection.
Couples attending this workshop may feel their relationship is already strong and healthy. Some couples may be struggling with betrayal recovery, reconnection or even that feeling of "being alone but married." Whether your partnership is brand new or decades of being together, this workshop will take your relationship deeper into each other giving it the chance to rekindle, or simply enhance, the love that you desire.
This workshop provides a strong degree of privacy for your issues. You will not be asked to disclose personal, couple information in a group setting. Couples will learn new skills and then go off to talk and do assignments by themselves. Coming back together, couples might share how things went or can ask questions, but are not required to share what they talked about.
Group leader, Dr. Patty (married 30 years and 25 years of private practice) brings a wealth of experience to couple recovery, communication and conflict resolution. She wrote her doctoral dissertation on Conflict Resolution and speaks on this subject around the country. Call Dr. Patty (530) 241-3642 with questions about the workshop. Darren Smith, MFT Intern (married 15 years) will be co-leading the workshop with Dr. Patty.

Couples Workshop — July 2006
The July 2006 Couples Workshop turned out awesome. We are so proud of all the couples who attended. They worked hard on their relationships and made some wonderful changes. What a tribute they are to relationship preservation!

Here's Patty with one of the Tootsie Pops that have become a tradition, started by "B", at all the workshops.
